Direct to Film (DTF) printing is revolutionizing the apparel decoration industry. This method prints full-color designs onto a special transfer film, which is then heat-pressed onto the final product. Unlike DTG printing, DTF works seamlessly on cotton, polyester, and blended fabrics—and produces a softer, more flexible finish than traditional Plastisol prints.

One major advantage of DTF is its versatility. You can apply it to a wide variety of fabric items, including garments, hats, and tote bags—even those that were previously limited to vinyl cut-and-weed methods.

Our DTF transfers include white ink underlays, making them ideal for both light and dark fabrics. Each transfer is backed with a solid white base to preserve color vibrancy and edge clarity. Plus, they’re shelf-stable—print now, store them, and press whenever you’re ready!

Pressing Instructions

Our DTF is a cold peel film. Heat, pressure, and time should be adjusted according to individual machines and substrates. The following are general recommendations for reference only.

• Pressure: 35-50 PSI
• Pre-Press: 5-7 seconds until moisture is gone
• Press: 290-320℉ 10-20 seconds
• Post-Press: 5-7 seconds with a teflon sheet or other preferred material

• Require ⅛” safety margin along all edges to avoid print cut off in trimming
• Gang up designs on your artboard to utilize the square footage price (e.g. repeat the same design on the artboard to maximize cost)
